Our Most Anticipated Sci-Fi and Geeky TV Shows for Fall 2018

We love to geek out over hardcore sci-fi television shows or even shows that have just a slight geeky angle to them. Luckily, there are tons of great shows to look forward to. We put together our list of the top sci-fi tv shows for Fall 2018. There are lots of awesome superhero shows returning that you might have missed. Additionally, there are some new series premieres hitting this season that we can’t wait to watch.

SEPTEMBER 14

The First Series Premier | Hulu

Sean Penn leads an ensemble cast in this near-future drama about a crew of astronauts attempting to become the first humans on Mars. Under the direction of visionary aerospace magnate Laz Ingram (Natascha McElhone), the crew contends with peril and personal sacrifice as they undertake the greatest pioneering feat in human history.

The Gifted Season 2 | Fox

Family adventure series THE GIFTED, from 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

OCTOBER 5th

Van Helsing Season 3 | SyFy

Van Helsing is set in a world that has been taken over by vampires following a volcanic explosion that blocked out the sun. Vanessa Van Helsing is the last hope for survival, as she unknowingly awakens to discover she has a unique blood composition that makes her not only immune to vampires, but with the ability to turn a vampire human. With this secret weapon, Vanessa becomes a prime target for the vampires. Her objective: Save humanity – and find her daughter.

OCTOBER 7th

The Walking Dead Season 9 | AMC

The story of the years that follow after a zombie apocalypse, following a group of survivors led by a former police officer, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. As the world overrun by the dead takes its toll on the survivors, their interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the walkers that roam the country.

October 9th

The Flash Season 5 | CW

Based on characters from DC's The Flash. After the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator explosion, a dark matter lightning storm strikes Central City C.S.I. Supergirl Season 4 | CW (Moto’s Favorite)

Arrow Season 7 | CW

Legacies Series Premiere | CW

The town of Mystic Falls has a new generation of protectors in this spin-off of "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals." The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted is home to Klaus Mikaelson's daughter Hope, Alaric Saltzman's twins Lizzie and Josie, and other young adults who are coming of age as witches, vampires and werewolves, nurtured to be their best selves and overcome their villainous impulses. Together, they rely on ancient folklore and tales to learn how to battle their far-reaching enemies and attempt to keep balance in the world.

Chilling Adventure of Sabrina Series Premiere | Netflix

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina tells the story of Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka), a half-witch half-mortal teenage girl. She’s been waiting her whole life for her 16th birthday, but something wicked this way comes, forcing her to choose between the path of light and the path of night. That was a ton of great sci-fi television shows for this fall. This compilation was built from shows that we have been enjoying or new shows that we have high hopes for. Obviously, there are other sci-fi shows that will air this winter and in early 2019. However, we have a feeling that there are more awesome geek-themed shows that we don’t know about yet!
